Hello World! I’m Mekah. As a Texas transplant, I moved to California in 1994. After working in the film & television industry for 8 years as a production coordinator & segment producer, I decided to be a stay-at-home Mom for the first two years of my child’s life. Once old enough for daycare, I returned to school to further my education. In 2006-2007 I attended beauty school in downtown Burbank. I originally wanted to be a make-up artist, as I also had experience working for various photographers doing model test shoots & wanted to continue in this specialty. When I began my research into Marinello Beauty School, I found new interests in skincare & waxing as well. I absolutely love this field! 

Since receiving my license in 2007, I have continued to expand my education, most notably with Cosmedix Skincare. I first discovered Cosmedix at the Face & Body Expo in San Francisco in 2006, & interestingly enough, the first salon I worked at in 2007 used Cosmedix! It was fate. I have attended both product education/application courses & have also attended medical esthetics training through Cosmedix. Formulated to reduce most side effects, it has been the ideal skincare line for my trade. As a progressive industry, this product line has truly stayed ahead in its field!

One area I had no idea I would love was waxing. Straight-up hair removal using hot wax! I now have extensive experience in full-body waxing for EVERY BODY. The bikini wax for female body parts had been widely available for a while, but finding someone to wax male body parts was a little more challenging. So I found my niche & have excelled at it! The skin is the largest organ of the body, so my interest in health & fitness blended nicely here. Being able to help people feel better about themselves & improve their skin health is an amazing feeling. I am always grateful to be of service!
